What will you get from this presentation?
3 of TEFMA's most recent past Presidents will reflect on where estate management has come in the last 5 - 10 years, and where it may be heading post COVID. Session will be moderated by current TEFMA President, Glenn Mowbray.
About our presenters:
Colin Reiter has extensive experience in Facility Management within the Tertiary sector and has been at The University of Melbourne since 2004. He now leads a team of 95 staff responsible for building maintenance, infrastructure engineering, sustainability, grounds management, utilities, contract management, parking and security.
In his role as a Sustainability leader since 2007, Colin has been instrumental in achieving an annual reduction of over 45,000 TCO2 e in Greenhouse Gas emissions and also reduced the University’s water consumption by 34%. This work has brought about energy saving and the establishment of an alternative water source to protect the University’s Gardens of Significance during times of state-imposed water restrictions.
For the last two years Steph Forrest has been the Group Manager, Land & Property for Land Information New Zealand (LINZ), a major landholding agency on behalf of the NZ government.
Immediately before joining LINZ, Steph spent ten years at Victoria University of Wellington as Associate Director of FM. During that time Steph was a board member of TEFMA and the 2017/18 President. She was also a member of the Universities NZ Facilities Committee.
Garry Bradley has had an extensive career in strategic planning within universities. This includes over 20 years in senior management roles within facilities and property groups in the areas of space planning and management and strategic asset management. He was Deputy Director Space and Management at RMIT and then Manager Strategic Asset Management at Deakin University.
After 36 years working in universities, principally in planning roles, Garry retired in August 2020.
