NZ Universities have a Government mandated external audit review of asset management maturity. At the University of Auckland this has prompted the establishment of a dedicated asset management team to drive better performance in asset management.
Emmett will focus on the reason for a team to be established and some initiatives that show the value of having a dedicated team and the benefits that accrue. In particular he will show how a risk based approach to asset management can build the case for improvement.
