Leaders Forum
TEFMA holds an annual Forum for senior university leaders, Chief Property Officers, Executive Directors, Directors, Associate Directors of facilities management / property and industry leaders working in the higher education sector. This Forum is held in a different location each year in Australasia, generally in conjunction with one of TEFMA's workshops.
Join us on Tuesday 18 February 2025 at the Mercure Sydney for a discussion on advancing the leadership of university campus design, construction, refurbishment and adaption acknowledging the evolving environment in which we operate. The day will focus on the importance of strategic thinking in providing refurbished and new spaces for our student and staff cohorts, community and industry partners. Hear from experts on the ingredients for successful strategic capital, adaptation and campus development projects including ways to maximise your capital budget. The Forum is intended to provoke thought in the current context of student enrolments and international and domestic capping. The Forum is a dynamic platform where professionals converge to exchange insights, address industry challenges, and foster collaborative solutions. Through engaging discussions and strategic networking, leaders leverage their expertise to navigate complexities, drive innovation and shape the future of their institutions.

We have secured Prof Tyrone Carlin, Southern Cross University Vice Chancellor & President and Chair, Regional Universties Network, Dr Stephen Weller former Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the Australia Catholic University (now COO at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute); and representatives from ARUP, URBIS, Wardle Studio, Lyons, and Hassell.
